Chicago Hotel blues, News
of death row inmates set free, Glee
and grief spreading across the state, Great
leader showed courage, Outrage
cried the victims loved one, Done
wrong they say,Today,
I say the governor done right, Might-y
words were spoken, Broken
legal system fixed today, Pray
no one else has to die, Fry
in the chair, Fair-ness
prevailed, Wailed
the news people, Equal
rights for the accused, Used
by corruption, Introduction
to a new way, Fray
defeat, Beat
a confession out of innocent, Recent
headlines no, Show
how choices were few, Do
what is right, Fight
for those who can’t, Rant
is a waste, Haste
swept on through the door, More
news at ten
