my creator, me

oh exalted believer
how dare I presume to argue
about that which you say I do not know
yes it is true
I never met the creator
only wait
what have we here
I think,
could it be
why yes it says
right there in the book of life
it says
neither did you
in fact as I thumb through the pages
I find
no one has

okay I know there are scriptures
written by men
for men
to control
other men
and women too
a set of rules to live by
that is what most people say
and those rules are not to be taken
lightly
or is it literally
I always get confused

95% of the population believes in a deity
I know, I know
So why don’t I?
because there are no hard facts
no concrete evidence
pure unadulterated supposition
a belief in that
the creator must exist because
I do

excuse me
if the creator actually wanted
me
to know about
him
or her
he would have taken the time to show me that
and time is all I have
time to spend on
learning
knowledge
science
math
reading
writing
building
designing
planting
teaching
managing
leading
creating
using all that I have
to improve myself
and those around me
I could use the time to
grow beautiful flowers
or build a house
with my own two hands
or I could pray
to something
it
and hope that
it
will do all those things for me
only it never does
I do it for myself
I am my own creator
just me
that’s
it

"I am that I am". Is that all we have to go on?

Supergirl, You are so awesome--you really are super. You drive a great point about taking up time worshipping a deity when there are so many things to do in ones life. I think a lot of church services are a waste of time as it's some other human telling us how they interpret something--I'd rather just pull out the good book and read it for myself if I felt like it. What if it's all rot? That's one of those deep discussion questions no one has the answer for. J.

Very good, Super Girl. I think of consciousness of going through stages. As more and more people develop a higher state of consciousness, the world becomes more harmonious. That's what it's all about. "The Kingdom of God" is just a metaphor for the final stage right here on earth--the way John Lennon envisioned it.

We are supposed to worship the creator.
Well, probably if I knew you better. :)
I do know you create beautiful poetry, and I like this.
Things are created, life evolves.
Perhaps we are not just in the Author's Den, but in His/Her mind.
