They built a wall
Covered it in broken glass
Barricaded them in
Cutting off the food supply
And water lines
But that was not enough
So they herded them into rail cars
And led them to the ovens
Mass extinction
Of the vilest kind
This the age of man
It was just one spec of time
In a never ending series
Where man kills men
Where man kills women
Where man kills children
For what?
The thrill of the kill
For what?
Misplaced pride
Neighbor against neighbor
Kill…Kill…Kill
I despise this age of man
We are not mere animals
Scraping under rocks
Searching for lichen
Or insects to feed on
We can reason
We can choose
We can be more
YES WE CAN THINK
Hurry, hurrry, hope
Yes please, please hope
For the age of humanity

The fortunate inherit riches, prestige, positive notoriety. Those not so lucky bear legacies filled with poverty, infamy or, worse yet, the unhinged insanity and murderous urges of their ancestors.
