Floating in pristine turquoise waters
Whose bounty never falters
A slice of life within the Caribbean Sea,
I dream of you along side me

Multicolored fish of all sizes and shapes
Dart in and out of the shipwrecks littering the ocean floor
As ballyhoo with their long pointy snouts swim by my face
And yellow tail snappers school below
Flowing to the rhythm of the sea
When suddenly the sun peeks out from the partly cloudy skies
Revealing a myriad of colored coral heads and fans in yellow, pink and purple
While electric blue parrotfish munch away
Carefully avoiding spiny black sea urchins larger than soccer balls on steroids
Yellow and black striped Sergeant Majors inspect my hands for food
While a stingray burrows in the soft sand
Anemones cling to the rocks fluttering in the current
As translucent brown squid ripple by and by
An oceanic life in its struggle to survive
Creating an underwater revelry
That I was lucky enough to see
While snorkeling in the most splendid waters that can be
St. Maarten, in the Netherland Antilles
