If I wait and fly with the butterflies
I might not ever know
What is it that pulls me toward the flame
The one that I can't let go
I wish it now not to have so much power
To make me feel anything
For while it does I'm captive here
Never knowing what it might bring
I try to fight it but rush right in
Head first into the light
Consumed by fire, melted down
Darkness fills the night
No words, no voice is offered up
Questions lingering
Tick tick tick goes the clock
Time drags heavy over the open sting
Ron
you have...over your own wishing rights!
over your own destiny...intentions...all
that life offers!
Many Blessings!
Thank you Sherry for sharing your poem.
