My friend at a corporate company was at the pinnacle of success when one fine day he just collapsed and was declared dead - Reason? Maddening work routine, 15 to 20 hours a day. All that fortune he earned did not help him to lead a peaceful life. This poem is about the irony of (corporate style) working to live a comfortable life that is about to cease soon - eventually missing all the true goodness of life ...

Work, work and more work Isn’t it all just for money? No wonder it’s by sheer luck I survive this monotony Life isn’t any more charm Its a devil's race that goes amok wish I could but stay calm to work, work and forever work

a life of simple wants yields abundant harmony of body-mind-soul.
sad that so many do not balance this basic equation.

Sorry to hear about your friend, another life cut short. Do you ever wonder how life would be if we devoted the time to God and improving all mankind??? Interesting piece...
