Weeknight Dishes in the sink and grease on the stove. His voice, high-pitched and helpless. Love gets lost, even as the rains subside.

Short and brilliant! This poem brings to mind a husband and wife trying to have a romantic evening and the sound of their baby crying puts a damper on the moment.
