Nepal! No, no, my mother,
you are not yet liberated.
Yes, yes, my mother,
freedom has just sprouted,
-and you are yet to be free.
Believe me,
the jackals are out there
lurking in the shadows
of the vultures.
They are waiting
- waiting for
the Sun to fade.
When the Sun fades,
they shall emerge out
in the open, then in
the darkness, they shall
attack and munch
your intestine again and again.
And then, O’ Mother!
They shall disappear
and shall emerge again,
and then shall disappear again,
and only, you shall be emancipated.
But O’ mother,
O’ my mother, beware!
The jackals are hungry now,
- they are sharpening their fangs,
a bad omen, a bad omen for us all.

Reviews of "No, no, my mother, you are not yet liberated."
Freedom is a very fragile thing, Bhuwan, and it seems that there are always jackels lurking in the dark corners wanting to be the ones responsible for stripping us of it. Freedom is not free and it must be protected at all times or it will be lost forever. Very nice poem!
Take care,
