When you can converse with your heart
And still remain in serenity deep within
When you can imprison your own soul
And disclose its authority to the world
When you can dream without sleeping
And make it ingenuous in authenticity
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea
When you can smile in the midst of pain
And drift the soreness far from thy inn
When you can believe in your strength
And make your weakness a neophyte
When you can face the barrier with ease
And pave way for the pathless breeze
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea
When you can stare at the glittering Sun
And dance along with the dazzling rays
When you can twinkle thy love to the stars
And gesture them esteem from thy eyes
When you can fly like the dove in the sky
And shed the message of peace and love
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea
When you can wipe the tears of abandoned
And heal their concealed cavernous wounds
When you can burn yourself like the candle
And shed illumination to enlighten this globe
When you can contribute a bit to the humanity
And regard this as your lifetime opportunity
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea
When you can love those, who abominates you
And trust again those, who had betrayed you
When you can hear the screech of deep silence
And terminate the counterfeit noises residue
When you can have a last laugh, when all doubts you
And still have fathomless faith inherent within you
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea
