Poem Artwork

When you can converse with your heart
And still remain in serenity deep within
When you can imprison your own soul
And disclose its authority to the world
When you can dream without sleeping
And make it ingenuous in authenticity
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea

When you can smile in the midst of pain
And drift the soreness far from your inn
When you can believe in your strength
And make your weakness an apprentice
When you can face the barrier with ease
And pave way for the pathless breeze
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea

When you can stare at the glittering sun
And dance along with its dazzling rays
When you can twinkle your love to the stars
And gesture them esteem from your eyes
When you can fly like the dove in the sky
And shed the message of peace and love
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea

When you can wipe the tears of abandoned
And heal their cavernous concealed wounds
When you can burn yourself like the candle
And shed illumination to enlighten this globe
When you can contribute a bit to the humanity
And regard this as your lifetime opportunity
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea

When you can sing the song of lover’s unity
And enfold a love crammed rhapsody
When you can enjoy the aroma of the flowers
And the rainbow of spirituality with colossal ecstasy
When you can illuminate the lamp of labor
And invigorate the comatose sprit within you
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea

When you can reveal the sun, from the chasm of clouds
And nourish the Earth with its scintillating illumination
When you can fasten this world with the bond of unity
And make your reality more salubrious than their dreams
When you can conquer your mind by self-realization
And surpass an aroma of the rose by your consciousness
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea

When you can reduce yourself to zero
And estrange yourself from the hallucination of “I” and “Me”,
When you can wash your heart with the soap of resolution
And soak it dry with the towel of gratification
When you can neutralize your ephemeral uncertainty
With the soothing emolument of sanguinity
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea

When you can love those, who abominates you
And again trust those, who had betrayed you
When you can hear the screech of deep silence
And terminate the counterfeit noises residue
When you can have a last laugh, when all doubts you
And still have fathomless faith inherent within you
Then my friend, you are really free
Like the river that runs toward the sea
