This title fought for first place, and lost to 'Light and Darkness'. I can't decide which is more me, now that I know the content of both. :) I loved to watch my watercolor teacher paint, observed her 'being' the colors, something I knew I could never emulate, though I tried. I don't regret the hundreds of dollars of 'necessities' I have languishing in my bedroom. Writing has become the outlet I had need of painting with, yet, one day, my hand and watercolors may cooperate and produce...art. They have. In a few of my poems. Totally relatable, Joe!

Joe...I hear you loud and clear!
Even if it isn't in a "class" with other painters...painting...
in a quiet room...was my sanity-maintainer...for many years,
until writing full time stole the show.
A great poem...as always.

How nice Joe to be not far away! I can picture all of us there in our underwear; just one pint two pint three pint four - gather round and shut that door. Listen up and beg for more; eyes wired shut and belly tight. Maybe you can listen the whole doggone night. Good

Brought a sigh, experiencing the serenity with you.
But what of boredom and contentment??!!! I'm sure you said that those two washes were in there somewhere? Still... sigh a blissful sigh... you create a suitably peaceful and contented aura here, Joe. Might even convert a few Tetley Orcs with this form of aural and visual stimulation... mine's a pint, by the way, if you're at the Bar! Kate xx
