for starting them off on the rain-lashed
dark road to poetry
A rainy day at Glendalough, poor Saint Kevin!
All the fairy rings, dark pools today
in Ireland. Umbrellas turned in with the strong wind,
The Dark Hedges up north in Antrim,
The Gaelic football cancelled.
Sorry to hear that you’re having morose weather in Ireland. But from the green nature of the land, it seems only natural for there to be rainy days in Ireland.
Here in the States, we have had three days of violent weather crossing the country. Killing so far, according to the count, 43, from dust storms, wind, tornadoes and wildflowers fueled by the wind and dry grass spring conditions.
Just in time to create ideal conditions for tomorrow’s St. Patrick’s Day. Where the Chicago River will turn green and the engineers will march down State Street in Madison, Wisconsin while the law students on the tops of the buildings will throw green water bombs on them. Many will drink green beer until they vomit green all in good fun.
