He was a poser, she couldn't take it.

Poser
Staring at a blank wall
afraid that I will fall
seeing you walk closer
hoping that you aren't a poser

I miss the way you used to be
cuddling, kissing, all over me
sweet and honest, so carefree
why can't you be the one for me?

Chorus:
Afraid of things that come my way
Looking for places to hide away
Not sure what you will think of me
So why not come and see?

Look at what you've done to me
I am not as free
I've locked my heart
and thrown the key
Torn me apart
Can't you see?

Chorus:
Afraid of things that come my way
Looking for places to hide away
Not sure what you will think of me
So why not come and see?

My heart has been ripped in two
Why can't you get a clue
There's a difference between love and hate
I will decide your fate

Show me who you really are
You have begun the war
I will not forgive you
Till you stop doing what you do

Chorus:
Afraid of things that come my way
Looking for places to hide away
Not sure what you will think of me
So why not come and see?

I wear my heart on my sleeve
Thinking of who you'll be
Wrong in so many ways
Ruining these days

Standing in front of you
staring at your eyes
Giving you these clues
tearing your lies

I will not stand for this
It will go away
I will leave you with just one kiss
And I will say

Chorus:
Afraid of things that come my way
Looking for places to hide away
Not sure what you will think of me
So why not come and see?

You've wasted your time with me
I realized that you can't see
As you became closer
I realized your just a poser

I cannot possibly be with you
Because of all you do
You are all wrong for me
I am not afraid to see
That you must be
The worst thing for me
I will walk away
And find my true love a different day

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!

Prosetry at Work by Odin odin@aflx.com

This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given day.
