So many times I’ve had broken wings taking me to the ground So many times I’ve been picked up when I was falling down. The healing deep within; I know it has to begin, inside of me. So many times I’ve watched people I love, leave their bodies behind. So many times I’ve needed to grieve by a sad grave side. The healing deep within; I know it has to begin, inside of me. Inside there’s an angel growing. A growing heart in size Ready to embrace the beauty And stand here by your side. So many times I’ve been brought down by lost love within my heart. So many times I’ve thought the world should end because it was so dark. The healing deep within; I know it has to begin inside of me. Inside of me The angel’s growing. Inside of me I need to breathe. Inside of me she’s slowly spreading her wings For all of you to see. Marlene Dawn. 2003
