You were always in my eyes my man of destiny,

I've seen your face before in quiet

moments of reflection.

God's purpose in time has brought us to this place,

a moment to share, a lifetime to love.

I saw you long ago in a day vision.. Oh, that smile

and impressive stride!

Your firey sermons burn inside my soul.

Only God's design could place within one life,

all that I could ever want and more.

We've traveled many miles to foreign lands beyond.

An old Egyptian friend spoke kind and gentle words.

"There's something I must say, he said,

something you must know.

You were always in his eyes, you were always

in his eyes.

Your captivating smile, the twinkle in your eyes.

The qualities I see in you are too numerous to share.

Your voice that thunders like the sea...

compassion for lost souls.

My heart can rest just knowing that I've found you.

You were always in my eyes and will be

forever in my heart.
