No Neon in Johnstown

Walking coldly through Johnstown
Broken windows, broken heart.
Shivering chill settles in.
Trashcan burns but gives no heat.

Everybody cares, nobody feels
the pain flailing within
tearing up what remains of
empty Napoleon buildings.

Turn around, don't go.
This street won't bring me back.
Dark, cold, broken lights.
Nothing feels, nothing heals.

Something people think is only in the movies, this is real life for so many on the streets. A great eye opener for many Dayvid.

Apocalyptic and dark. Wars, ghettos, graffiti and Bible wars, the reality of this century. Dayvid, I'd like to see this appear on the board. Go back and edit it and check a rating. If you fail to rate poetry, it will not appear on the board and also R-rated poetry has a board of its own. PG-13 is good for this. Your poetry and style is good.
