Silent Changes

Praying monks in silence sleep
Gathering storm clouds loom
America crying from the depths
Darkness breaking through the light

Easter denied the hungry masses
Spinning across waves of children
Dreams of bunnies and colored eggs
Shattered by heavy, stomping feet

Questions without surprise attack
Raucous Anger driven self-defense
Black blindness turns blood red
Praying monks in turmoil sleep
