Parking Lot Love

Acres of lines

White across the parking lot

Rain-wet black asphalt

Void of cars

Expansive guardrailed emptiness

Like her broken heart

Space 316

She lay on her back there

Naked in the rain

Thunder inside her

Striking lightning splitting

Wide open heart

Deep wounds bleed

From unreturned lovers

Warm fingers touching

Sun slides out

Body rises to meet the warm

Ecstasy alone together

ACTUALLY...'SHE'... CAN BE ANYTHING LYING THERE ON THE GROUND, IN THAT SPACE, THOUGH I SEE HER AS SOMETHING 'PERSONAL' ...BEING PELTED BY THE RAIN AFTER BEING USED BY SO MANY FORMER 'LOVERS', THEN...A NEW LOVE PICKS HER UP AND ITS...'HERE WE GO AGAIN'...TIME, ONCE MORE. WELL DONE AND ENJOYED. THANKS FOR SHARING, LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Hummmmm! Not sure I can identify with this one. Sounds like a lonely, exiled human being. People are often more alone with self because they haven't learned how to appreciate self.

The image is of a lonely, abandoned and open convertible under the rain, cos...can you imagine a woman on her back not screaming blue murder when the rain messes up with her hairdo? (LOL)

Georg

PS. Sorry, no disrespect, just that little devil on my shoulder.

Sad images of one who seems to have been used, or loved and left many times, by many, until those true warm fingers touch bring back the possibilities, the sun. That's some lovemaking. ~Elizabeth

So you are in love with a parking lot...tis a bit strange, but most poets are rather strange anyway...Personally I have this thing for a parking garage in the city, its big, impersonal & keeps me so, so cool while I parked in it...Sincerely, Eds car...(don't tell Ed I was using his laptop while he was driving me)

OOOOHHHH for the good ol days, dirt roads, or maybe a drive in theatre, back seats and my high school sweetheart. But, I'd need to give back 50 years, which I'd gladly do, if you could show me how. Thanks for the refresher course. Dick
