Bending Light

There’s a crack in the dark sky

And across the universal divide

Splitting deviant proclamations

Into beams of light that bend and slide.

Wrecking ball swings on high

Misses grand structures of thought

Old hard patterns prohibiting flight

Black crow lets out a loud squawk

Rusted worn gears, teeth broken off

Slipping and knocking with no rhyme

Echoes of greatness fade in the din

Disjointed positions of six and nine.

Intelligent life springs up from below

Arc of a shooting star lights the sky

Dividing darkness and darkness in two

And light falls into the universal divide.

Much to my lack of understanding, yet to my pleasure in labyrinths of literature. I am stunned by the cryptic and metaphorical expression. Ha ha! I did enjoy every word of this one, even without a good understanding of the meanings. Thanks for sharing, Dayvid.

Unique equation, Dayvid...I love the illusion of rusted worn gears and like the radial arm saw, spiritual blades of sawtooth divinity butt up against the universal plan, a blueprint of a write...as a carpenter pastor of Menno who is refurbishing a house, this says it alot about your godly mindset...it takes patience to build a relationship with spirituality and an abode to keep us lit emotionally and spiritually in the universal divide...this is all worlds!

NO MATTER WHAT ONE DOES WITH 'LIGHT'...IT REIGNS. BEND IT, REMOLD IT, DIVIDE IT, WHATEVER...IT'S BRIGHTNESS IS NOT DIMINISHED. IT IS STILL...TRUE! THANKS FOR SHARING AND I LOVE THE PERFECT PICTURE THAT COMPLIMENTS SO WELL. LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
