To Love or Hate

Not sure if I'm to cry or just try to stop this feeling,
Love's got the scars to finally halt my healing.

Am I sad? Am I mad? Are you good? Am I bad?
But I never knew true until the day I met you,

You thought I hid drops but I did stop this hustle.
I wouldn't talk with strangers; the way you worked really rustled,

My under feathers, you found me under the weather,
But whether I'm right or wrong you should have done better.

You failed when you failed to tell me the truth,
And I wailed when a friend had to bring me the news.
You should of called me up, instead you balled me up,

Balled into a cup, but I still didn't drink.
I mean how do you even know what you think?

Instead you follow friends through fields of fallacy,
Now you know the weight of words; now you see what hell can be.

For poems pull from the dark recess not only to soothe,
But to bring out the right words to breath soully truth,
And you may see only blue as tears fog up your windows.

While I am wishing you didn't lie, that you never hid,
Can't believe the ways you pulled the things you did,

Can't conceive the way you slid sharp marks ,
through my ribs straight to the heart ,
And threw our love into the dark,

Where you can't reach it, yet think you can teach it to change.
All the shades of you made as the dog recovers from mange.

Change your ways! It is not mine that are shallow.
I swear to the highest heaven my ways remain hallow.

Just follow and maybe you'll learn to walk alone,
Maybe even with me, if you'll accept two hearts as one.
