Sometimes I tread carefully; sometimes haphazardly
Whether on tip-toe or on the run
The winding path of life looms ahead
Surprises await along this path
A nuance at every turn and curve
Here and there it takes me
This way and that it goes
Each of us must take this journey
Each of us must tread our path
The path, our odyssey of traveling through time
Wondering where life’s winding path will lead
Imagining what will unfold next
Curious as to what our life will bring
The meandering lane leads us forward
Whatever sprawls ahead of us
Whatever awaits around the next turn
Wherever the next fork in the road takes us
A new journey is guaranteed
A mysterious trip into the unknown
For all of life is a mystery
All of life is a journey
Until life’s path abruptly halts
Until our path of life reaches journey’s end
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
