Journey’s End

As a lazy river flows, life’s path meanders through time and destiny
Twisting and turning much like that of a winding mountain road
Shadowy secrets just around the edge, each turn filled with life’s tomorrows.

Like chapters in a book, life mysteriously unfolds before us
Page by page, day by day, a little at a time until we reach the end
Life’s steps are often tentative, yet others bold, filled with surprises untold
What lies ahead in life’s chapters we cannot know.

Life is a journey through time—each step a year, a month, a day, an hour, a minute
Each step forward leaving a memory of the last, a trace of choices made or fate dealt
Traces of secrets shared or love lost… the experiences of life… and of death
It is how life is lived… one step at a time.

The path is sometimes rugged and treacherous; other times smooth as the finest silk
Sometimes the path is sad; others fill us with a joy that touches our heart and soul
The path is merely the journey—a journey into an unknown realm called life
It is a journey of hope and discovery… and sometimes of miracles.

And so here we are in this world… a rag-tag band of nomads
With fate ever-present, a steady hand on our back forevermore
Pushing us onward toward our journey of life… and of destiny
For we are explorers… one and all.

Memories of the past leaving footprints of what once was… of life lived
Whether they be yesterday’s memories or today’s in the making
Nothing else matters but a path well traveled—for that is the goal
The path is the journey of life’s tomorrows—the unknown just beyond shadow’s edge.
