Is this all I’ve got left?
A flashback of the last 21 years…
I’ve been bled dry.
And after all this time,
I feel like letting go…

How much more can I move within this space?
Feel what I’ve felt with this skin.
Count the days that have been wasted on me.
An eternity of routine depression.
All I want now is to go home.

Far-away friends don’t even know my face anymore.
The less they see,
The more I fade…
To them, I remain the past.
An echo…

A fair reminder of what was.
Who cares for accuracy when you’ve got imagination?
I can only wait until new memories are made of me.

Or wait until memories are all that remains of me.

Superb writing and emotion. Our memories play such a vital role in our present and future, for the past is what we have become. Each person, place or thing that has touched our lives, has given credence to who we are today. This poem was penned with true style and grace.

Augh! Mariah!

The heart is the mostversatile organ we have. It is larger than any treasure chest and still, once we think it is full...it has more room. Our memories go there and when we least expect them they will peek out upon a rainy afternoon and entertain us for hours. Your old friends are good parts of your heart. They will always be frames of you in everyday life too. Don't forget that!

I love you!
R & me send you hugs.

Every moment makes a new memory...I love the melancholic tone this poem sets into and the way it talks with brooding feel...
