Did you think you would get away with making me feel like this?
You have to leave before it happens
Before I slip into the smoking blue haze again.
By then, all is lost.
And I can’t control myself around you anymore.
Then I am in your arms.
And I hate you for it.
Making me feel pleasure I’d never admit to.
The sensations are just too strong to say no.
Only in the dark, I allow this to happen.
When the shadows can cover our indiscretion.
Even though I’ve tried to stop,
I can’t.
Not this time…
Then I hear your whispers
And with it comes my resolve.
“Finish what you started…
Tell me how it ends tonight.”

Poet, a very well-penned descriptive composition, illustrating the sometimes overwhelming frustrations and anger one needs to let go of, to override the immediate concern needed to fulfill the journey of ones deepest emotions, since taking the first step. In other words, I really liked this piece. Thank you for sharing it. Take care and be well.

Mariah, even your name is beutiful. Has a far away voice written inside. And I know from reading your poem how hard it is to turn the spigot off and on. Especially were longing and desire are concerned.

Better than any poem before Mariah! Outstanding relative words paint a scenario worth reading many times. Again I am the proud mother of this poet. Guess it is in the genes!
