I’ve seen that look.
I know what they look like,
Rising to the surface to take a breath.
And they look…
Just. Like. You.
Claw the dirt, inch by petrifying inch…
Digging yourself out of the grave you stepped into.
Scrape the skin, flesh by undying flesh…
To clean the tracks of a world weary mind.
Lie down and soak up the earth that owns you.
Rest in pieces…Rest in peace.
Life is but a dash between the beginning and the end.
It is that line we cleave so desperately.
Like the next delicious taste of oxygen…
