There comes a time,
Where my words stop short,
And have nowhere else to go.
You do that to me,
Just as bad as I do it to you.
Here we are,
With nothing left to say.
Hoping the silence will fill the void,
That our lies have left behind.
Sympathy and guilt won’t do anything but hurt us more.
It’s gone...
As long as we don’t think about it.
The longer we stand here,
The harder it’s going to be for one of us to leave.
...The door wasn’t even that loud.
Perhaps the saddest thing is,
I’ll still be here waiting for you to turn around.

The line about the door, really makes this poem hit hard, and the way you set this up is good, giving power to the right lines.
Awesome my dear daughter. I admire the review given by Sage. Her words have such intensity...no wonder her name is Sage.

Wait no longer, Mariah, creativity awaits!
