The different ways of seeing,
Could’ve fooled me into believing in fairytales again.
I’m consciously wondering,
If you’ve tricked me into thinking,
For myself...
I’ve seen better days come and go,
Kiss away all the hardships that I’ve harbored,
For my past has made me a modern day martyr.
But to you it’s all the same,
In one ear and out the other...
Maybe next time I’ll just try harder,
Even a mouse can make a sound.
But don’t mind the therapist’s daughter,
My razor-sharp teeth have been filed down.
Everything I feel makes me dangerous inside,
I wish I could rip you up and swallow my pride.
Slower and slower, the pain, it starts to subside.
Then the truth is seen...
And all the while I’m just a little girl trying to hide.
Sometimes the traumatic part of life is hidden and when this happens we succumb to dreams. When the facts are revealed we turn around, animate our world and get a better focus of who we actually are.Well placed puzzle words, my dearest daughter.

Mom
Mariah you have hit this subject on the head, the anger we can feel and control inside while outwardly appearing calm and docile is often amazing to me. You have looked at the hidden feelings of all of us and put them down on paper so we can take a glimpse at what is real. Well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
