No more happy thoughts or children to wish away.
Shaking to the ground, afraid to fly that far.
Whispering, “I hope I never fall in love.”
...I hope I never fall in love.
Trying to hold her eye on a fading star.
“When will he come back to get me?”
It was only a thimble...
Such a small and unsubstantial thing.
The last thing he took before closing the window.
She doesn’t believe anymore,
And he’s lost...
The idea of growing up has frightened him away.
Forever.
Never.
Never-never...
Only thing left is a shadow,
To sit beside mine on the wall.
He’s not running anymore.
And no amount of clapping will bring him back at all.
Yes !! Peter Pan, his shadow and lovely Tink...I wouldn't want to grow up either! Let's all keep the awe of our child!
Love,
Mom

Enjoyed the write. Nice images albeit painful. Know that love always returns as we are it's conjurers. It changes , flows and returns to the ocean (the One) always...
