This moonless night;
Provoke me still, further;
And I shall lose all trust in you.
For it is not my heart, nor time,
For my love to defend;
But rather; thine and mine’s passing,
In order for our hearts halves, to mend.
Fear not the shadows behind your deepened eyes.
This is where truth and beauty of pure love lies.
In dreams; for without them, my love does not wake.
And within them; neither if our hearts do forsake.
Now; take me to the edge of the darkness, without haste.
And let me truly enter…
Yet hold fast! My blood, and two pulses, doth race;
For the guileless stars, in all their wonder,
Hath led me to places I am not so sure.
But in the end, should mine eyes drink of your face;
Appear in a mist above a lighted sea.
No one knows what will become of our fates;
I am only certain truth and beauty awaits; for thee.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
