Blue Rapture

Softly,
in that quiet seductive time,
that private place,
dian’s decrescent moon
lightly strokes the midnight surf,
and ripples of foam kiss
the forbidden shore.

Blue shadows
are swallowed in sea whispers
above the undulant dunes.
the swell
of intermittent cries
animates the deep silence.

Stolen love,
sweetened in heady blue wine,
riding the waves of unrelenting desire,
ambrosial night attended
on the breath of obliging gods.

Blue rapture consumed,
released in subtle body scents cleansed
and perfumed
in the morning mist.

A ribbon of aquamarine light
delineates the horizon.

It is not very easy to write this kind of poem
without making use of obvious cliches, and yet you succeeded.
I have especially enjoyed the beautiful sounds, the sensuous
alliterations.

i can sense/see/feel\read the seductive internal rhythms of this, but t.here is some.thing more. . .. almsot a graceful, spiritual undercurrent. .. [or maybe im projecting]...how could i not though, with all the mentions of gods and eternities ebbing and flowing beneatha dna round. . .. a climax of more than bodies, but minds, and souls. .. .a culmination of blues and hues of want and sacrifice and prayer.....i relly think im making my word voodoo dolls here, but isnt that the beauty of all arts? the reader immersed,,,,liquified, made whole or rapturous or both. ..
and i am left thirsty in the wake of this..
in the w.ache of this. ..
in the waking bliss.

This is so well described and lushly set - it makes a man wish to hell he had been there - as a participant - pant - pant - pant!

To me this is a moment alone with nature be it deep in the wilderness of mountains or along the shore with the tide crashing against the sands and sliding in with a foam of bubbles--a soothing sound. A commune with nature--one with where we came from.
