Lady A, I have read this poem with much interest. If I didn't know you wrote this, I would say there is my life in a nutshell. I know life's desecrations, I know life's hollow core, I know life's pretentious being...that is only because I have lived it, literally. It is a shame that we don't find out until late, what life could have been like, had we been permitted to live it. That makes those of us who have had to live that life, survivors.

This is beautiful, Anita! I think we can all relate to your words, also. Being human, we all have our strengths and our weaknesses our good and bad sides. Through creativity, hopefully, we will gain a certain element of clarity into ourselves and rise above those things we see as weakness or failings in our spirits. Life really is a balancing act; we spend years making grave mistakes and many more trying to overcome them and become better people.

Have to agree with Katy, Anita - this, as is all of your poetic fretwork - is like a kind of spiritual incense and absolutely knock-out!! Am keeping for an airing often! The mystical appeal of an Arabian Nights caravan travelling through oasises (??!), this has the intoxication of The Queen of Sheba about it... sorry, it was the beautiful line about "caravan of words" that did it - sooooo exotic!!
