Living In The Now


 How on earth do we stay grounded
When our heads are in the clouds
Are we tethered by tradition
Or yoked by human vows
 
On these chosen destinations
Were our lifetimes wisely packed
Before we left the heavens
Was there space for what we lacked
 
How many waiting souls
Passed on  karma's wing
Might there have been a mixed up
In what we meant to bring
 
?Karmic luggage mixup?
 
Fortune as a blessing
Does not always shine
The paradox of flaws
Can make a life divine
 
If when our packs were opened
By life and all it's rides
Everything we packed
Had more tucked right beside
 
How on earth do we stay grounded
When our heads are in the clouds
This is how we're meant to be
Living in the now
 
Its not what you start with, its how you end up right??

Such brutal honesty in your writes Anita that always tell it like it is. If we could all envision the time when our blood lines were all immigrants then perhaps we could stop thinking of the new as foreigners.

I would Imagine that it's what we do with what we're given, and who it brings glory too, that matters the most.

It certainly is a moment by moment decsion making process (life) that reveals who we are as individuals, and also how we feel about our fellow man.

What a cogent write Alice. Chiselpecks approves, and so do I. Bloody well written. I'll be thinking about this one the rest of the bloody day. kudos!

Well, living in the present, forget about the past, lookin forward to the future is not so bad.
