This is one hell of a fantstic write and I love it. Your little girl is gorgous and I hear your discription and see my own daughter at that age, ahhhh what wonderful memories whether at 18 or 40, parenting is special.
This is sooooo sweet, and on the bloody mark. Kids have to find themselves. It's a trying and ofttimes terrible process. Too bad that roller-coaster process doesn't happen when they're out on their own making their way.
Wait till she gets in her twenties and developes a third hand that is permanently attached to your wallet.

Nature roars and thats the law!
One moment your kid is a quiet doe eyed 12 year old. He says 'Goodnight mum, goodnight dad, love you both.' and goes to bed the night before his 13th birthday. Wakes up the following morning, then wham! 'I hate you!' he suddenly shouts. He has become the dreaded know it all/we know nothing teenager. Shouts this for absolutely no reason other than because you knocked on his door like you always did to get him up for school. Be this as it may, as parents we take this outburst - a minor one compared to what was to come - in our stride, still tell him that we love him, and continue to thank God for blessing us with him. Thankfully, if adolscense goes to plan, this ratty wind blows over by the time he is 18 - then its our turn: What time do you call this? You've had enough to drink! What's she doing in your room? etc etc.
Yeah, Anita, even then we still say 'I love you baby'

Ohhhh yes! I believe it was Ben Franklin who said, "When I was sixteen my old man didn't know anything but by the time I turned 21, he had wised up quite a bit."
They can cause headaches but I'll live with that. Then comes grandchildren.
