This is a gorgeous piece with such powerfully moving choice of words. It is inspiring to the aspiring writer of verse. I will keep this one around for reading over and over again!

One of your best ones Anita. Enjoyed this greatly-
I am delightfully drunk with this poem, totally wide eyed and legless - blissfully intoxicated. A provocative oxymoron as the title, always intruiging. Toxic substances normally unbalance the thought processes, even the sober onlooker as he watches the intoxicated man's behaviour becomes intoxicated (anxious) by his unsocial influence. Not so with this poem. Its toxic influence is aromatic, like the smell of sweet honey ascending to tease the nostrils of our imaginings. Indeed, as the verbal use of the word suggests, it intoxicates one sane, but not with a sanity that the real world can cope with or understand - not any longer. The sanity in question requires a lease of life in another world. I'll take a flight to that world and its 'visioned heights', Anita, fueled by a crystal glass of your intoxicating, choicest 'wine of rhyme'.
obviously, this poem has more than inspired me ... you have a certain ability to entice as well as create ... and that makes a great combination ... you imagery and poetic sentiment are a rare and welcome treat ...

One always wishes to open such a gate and find creativity, to some it's easy, to others it's not. Very creative poem. Victor
Very inspiring write and the lines so origianal in this one, it flows soft and curvy like the path of a stream through a forest. Great stuff my friend.
Still Living on my Feet is the follow up to Tichaona Chinyelu’s first book, In the Whirlwind, which was rooted in a sense of hard-hitting revolutionary black love. However, in this sophomore effort, Tichaona brings the revolutionary essence from deep

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,

I enjoyed this. Like those special poems poets occasionally write are the keys to ones sanity.
Love your use of the repeating simile: "Like dulcet honeyed rain"
Very soothing. And the image is to die for.
