All the things one has forgotten scream for help in dreams.~EliasCanetti

RUMBLE TONIGHT

Expansive distance, lighter wind, yet heavy as a boulder
Lifts and spins, while playing the game, and crying upon a shoulder
Sometimes it rests, tranquil and sweet, like a babe newborn to the world
At others it roars, like a beast of the wild, who burns with a hunger unfurled

~~*~~

Go through the motions, in classic repose, and never show whats inside
The inner child is stamping its foot, impatient for the straight ride
Pushing and pulling, this riot within, beneath the layers of calm
A yawn and a stretch, a smile and nod, the battle gear of the aplomb

~~*~~

Waiting for twilight, as defenses go down, to jump upon center stage
A captive audience slumbers, in peace, unprepared for the self righteous rage
Should have saids! Could have saids! Bold deeds never seen, are settled in the minds eye
The bravest of wits, and snappy combacks, are stored in a file "Reply"

~~*~~

After the venting, and strutting about, the child can now rest renewed
Its off of the chest! Its out of the box! To those monsters we
now bid adieu!

Sleep tight!

Anita: Yes, I do believe the things that we have repressed come out while we are asleep and dreaming. We have no control over our dreams; perhaps this is God's way of letting us express things that can't be expressed publicly. Thanks for sharing this. Susan Sparks P.S. I just pressed my tracker button. This was great!
