Come before Him with gladness

all ye with burdened hearts

and lay it all at heavens door

where the healing will slowly start.

He will meet you there with a smile

and gently take your hand

then understanding all that you feel

He’ll explain to you about His plan.

That He is working out His purpose

in every circumstance of your life

and will use your pain to draw you close

when your heart feels only strife.

That He understands your burden

as only He can do

and will work it out in faith

creating it all anew.

He knows the burden you carry

of wanting to work it out on your own

but His plan is to carry you

with the wings of heaven alone.

That even through your darkest events

He will draw you to a higher place

and will place you gently upon its road

where you can walk with Him in grace.
