The Narrow Way

If you understand what God has to say,
You’ll know you must walk the Narrow Way.

Getting to His gate is no easy feat,
You must watch the road signs on every street.

His road is not lit with bright neon lights,
Instead there’s a soft glow that only His love can ignite.

The traffic is light because most people miss,
The road sign that says, “This Way To Heaven’s Bliss”.

His road is not paved with soft sand of the beach,
Instead it’s smooth rock, solid under the feet.

There’s no jostling or shoving or pushing others away,
Only kind words of encouragement to help lead the way.

Up this road God will teach you the truth,
And reveal it to you through His Word and reproof.

The voices you will hear are sweet sounds of praise,
Kind words and prayers unlike the worldly ways.

The burdens you’ll carry are lighter in their load,
For Jesus has taken them on the cross up the road.

Your heart will feel joy traveling up this beautiful way,
God talking with you and listening to what have you say.

And when you reach the road's destination you’ll fully understand,
The Narrow Way was the only way to salvation and God’s perfect plan.
