Poem Artwork

 Yesterday I rambled to the top of peak,

Viewing a thousand feet cliff left below.

On the edge of danger—one lonely tree;

Swayed in the wind, it is split for two branches.

Shaken by the rain, its leaves scattered and fell;

Dried out then by the sun, they turned into dust.

I heave a sigh, seeing that the luxuriant growth

Today has come to be a heap of grey ash.

Before the cosmic bang there was peace - nothing. Is the bang a blunder, or is yearning for peace?

Just as we do ultimately..

lovely interpretation it could be if to take into consideration that it always like that, without exclusions. . . every single edge is irreversible point of evanescence, without trace. . . the famous ‘dust to dust’ actually means ‘no-dust,’ nothingness. Once ‘nothing’ is there, a true calmness comes. Cheers

My interpretation is that when we get too close to the edge of life, sometimes we get burned.

The theory of 'til death do we part," but even in death there is something left, something . . . dust . . . which tells us that the leaves were once there . . .
