In the third month, with silkworms still small,
Young ladies come to gather the blossoms.
A lattice on the wall—they play with butterflies;
Facing the waters, they toss out leap-frog pebbles.
Their silken sleeves chocked full of plums;
With golden hairpins they dig out shoots of bamboo.
Vying with each other, they talk about odds and ends;
As it goes, “This place is even better than home!”
