Poem Artwork

Being greedy for love, people catch at their transient lives—

They don’t grasp that troubles are on the back for hundreds of years.

Just look at the sun rays flaming on the surface of foaming waters

And you will be aware that fleeting relations just ruin your good self.

A true man is he whose will and spirit are frank and firm like steel,

His uncorrupted heart leads him on the truthful way of due mean.

When your deeds are fair and moral is high, like bamboo in the rime,

Only then you start to realise how not to employ your mind in vain.

Says lots to me emotionally, and reminds me of a certain person i still know of and relate to by phone only.

I do not challenge your intentions or your writing skills, but amphiboly carries its on cautions. The wisdom of your thoughts seems to get lost in the confusing contrasts couched in simile. Sorry, but I got lost in the ambiguities.

Each of these couplets ends with a contradiction. So is man, so they are perfect.
