I formerly lived in a remote settlement.
At that time a proprietor
Of one famously known firm
Once came to see me, and all
The multitudes of his staff
Then congratulated him three times
On his having found the proper manager.
I must first have shown myself on Internet,
And so it was that he knew me;
I must first have been selling what I had,
And so it was that he came to buy that.
If I had not shown what I possessed,
How should he have known it?
If I had not been selling myself,
How should he have come to buy me?
I pity the men who lose themselves;
I also pity the men who pity others
For not being known and hired;
And I also pity all those who pity the men
Who pity those that pity other men.
But since then the time is long gone by;
And so I am in the state of wellbeing
In which you have found me today.
We should all apt to pity others a times;
it's a way of showing compassion.
Merry Christmas when it comes, Alex!
