Of my short and long verses
Nine in ten are allegorical;
Of all my wordy illustrations
Seven in ten are metaphorical.
The rest of my works are like
The water that daily fills the cup,
Tempered and harmonized
By the heavenly elements
In our earthly environment.
The use of such allegorical writing
And metaphorical illustrations
Is not my fault, but the fault of men
Who would not otherwise
Readily understand my poetic creation.
