Some poems may be minimal in words but speak to us in ten thousand words. Much like a painting that would speak to us in thousands of words. It takes a person with understanding to read the poem or the painting.
When I write my poems, I feel like I am in the fullness of time. 10,000 may come some day; but the number doesn't matter. One fine poem is worth 10,000 bad ones.
Ten thousand does sound like a large number, almost infinite. But if we go about doing say, 100 a day, the eventual impact of that production can reach well beyond 10,000. I don't aim to write 10,000 poems like you seem to want to do, but I will accept 10,000 comments on any of my poems… In the hundreds so far.
