David, you know I don't often stop in at the Den, though it's a place I love to visit. Seems there are so many things to do, even though I'm even older than you! Your neighbor reminds me of my Mom. There were five of us kids, Mom and Pop, living in the little house on Water Street. Mom would make us line up --on our knees, mind you--and we would recite our prayers together. She led us, and there were always the same refrains.
We prayed for the poor and needy, the sick and afflicted, and usually prayed that Daddy would get work.
Years later, I taught my own five kids to pray, and as far as I know, they still look to God in times of need. And I do, too. I sure do!
Love you, Brother!

So many beautiful memories penned here , in the silence of those
amazing mountains, it was easy to talk to God, today we need to work
harder at it, nice that you remember the glory of those days, Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem dear poet. :)
INDEED, DAVID. 'IF' THE WHOLE WORLD DID THE SAME...THERE WOULD BE PEACE THROUGHOUT OUR PLANET. AMEN. FOR THAT'S ALL GOD DESIRES OF US...THAT EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW AND EVERY TONGUE CONFESS THAT 'HE' IS LORD. WONDERFUL, AND SO ENJOYED. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS KEEPER. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Oh how I miss the quiet safe American way of life. I miss kind people too but thank God I live knowing God loves me beyond measure and that America belongs to Him and His covenant and He will not forsake us
A wonderful story poem reminiscing about the time in your childhood that you recall vividly because as a child memories like this go deep. But as we age we turn them into legends as innocent as we were back then.
You really left me hanging with, "what if…?"

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
