A little poetic license in a brief summary of my personal journey

The starting point Texas, then the West Coast
The place of my teen years, a suitable host

From sandy beaches and sun shiny days
To the military and a choosing of ways

Up to Canada for a number of years
Learning to cope and banish my fears

Much has happened in between
Sometimes prosperous, sometimes lean

I came back from across the seas to earn some degrees
To prepare for special service that kept me on my knees

It was first to New York, and next Chicago
Not knowing the things that each place would bestow

Multiple changes, unexpected events
Brought forth unfoldings that happened as I went

On to Jamaica and Fort Lauderdale
This is the place from whence I now hail

The travelings, transitions, and myriad situations
Have brought me to my present life station

All was not perfect, neither was I
But God saw fit that I live and not die

His purposes exceeded all my mistakes
He stood with me still in the midst of all wakes

This journey is not about travel and notions
It's about life, and our changing emotions

So many things in so many directions
Unnumbered possibilities and different connections

The end is not yet and I thank God this is true
I try hard today to listen for his cue

As th good book says, "In God We Trust". So few words yet worthy to live by as we all journey through to reach the good graces of heaven above...

Be always safe,
Karen
