The Pharisee in the fluffs

And frills

Swaggering down the

Aisle doing your

Anglican Shuffle.

You started off

On the right foot once,

A poor friar, leading

A life of poverty in the name of

The Holy One.

Somewhere, sometime

You began to envy

The rich and

Self righteous so

You channeled the Amen’s

Of the Jefferson’s

To the tune

Of Movin on up...

And so you did

And so you are

The frilly silly

Pharisee who

Lost sight of

His true goals.
