You, my friend were working nights

I was working days

I wanted to surprise you

On your birthday.

Had a key to your mobile home

So I called our friends

And went shopping.

They showed up at 6pm

We had Birthday cake

And ice cream at your house

And blew up balloons

And blew up balloons

And blew up balloons.

When you got home

We were gone

But we left you a slice of cake

With a candle to light

And presents to open.

Best of all

We left you a poppin

Good time…

A mobile home fllled with balloons

On the shower head,

In the toilet bowl

Under the lid

Tub was filled .

Your bedroom was full

Behind closed doors.

One in the teakettle

Blown up to fit,

One in the microwave

and lots in cabinets...

A kitchen sink full of colorful bubbles

On the couch,

In the rocking chair….

And you had

A poppin good birthday surprise.

(and you thought I had forgotten)
