For holding

The World Chili Championship.

There was Chili everywhere

That chilly fall day…

Red chili,

White chili,

Hot chili,

Mild chili

And everything in between chili.

All was peaceful

The cooks were all in their places,

Pots bubbling away

25,000 dollars on the line.

Suddenly at noon

There were sirens everywhere

There were so many trucks

Headed that way….

Must have been some pot of chili you say…

No, no…just the Firemen’s Annual Parade

That fine chilly day.

Wanna bet they were in a hurry

To get some hot chili
