From its tissue wrapping
And read the gold letters…
“Remember the baby’s gift.”
It was a reminder
Of a baby long ago
Who would give
The greatest gift
To those he loved,
His life.
It also reminded
Her when she saw it on the tree
that as she shopped
She needed to buy
The baby gift
To be given
To charity for a needy
Child.
