It is a bright summer’s day

And there is a refreshing

Breeze wafting through

The leaves of the ash tree

In the yard.

Their rustle lulls her

Off to dreamland and

An afternoon nap.

Where will the breeze

Blow her dreams to today…

Will it be of her childhood,

Or her husband or a

Sultry Latino Dancer

Under the stars?

There is a smile

On her face when

She wakes to the

Tickle of a leaf

And a refreshing

Breeze wafting

Through the leaves

Of the ash tree

In the yard.
